US Nano moving to Sarasota County

SARASOTA, Fla. — On the heels of a $750,000 National Science Foundation grant, US Nano has announced it will be moving to Sarasota County.

The move for the early-stage nanotechnology company from South Bend will afford the ability to triple the company’s current staff as it moves into a 5,000-square-foot facility.

The company has already poured $400,000 into building a new nanotech lab.

US Nano is a nanotechnology company devoted to transitioning nano materials from the lab to market.

For each new job US Nano brings, Sarasota County will provide a $3,000 incentive.

Eight jobs are expected in the first year. Three employees have already moved to Sarasota County and two more were hired.
